Andrew Christie
Andrew Christie began shooting photography whilst at school. Mentored by one of surfing's great photographers, Andrew’s photos were soon being published in Tracks Magazine. In 1998 at 18 years old, Andrew had his first commissioned trip to West Africa for Surfing World Magazine. Travelling from The Ivory Coast through Senegal onto Cape Verde, it was a very real, eye-opening experience.
In the following years, Andrew shot countless trips around the world in almost every surf destination. He worked as senior photographer for Waves Magazine whilst also continued to have his work published in magazines around the world.
From 2005 to 2017, Andrew began shooting full time for Volcom Australia, USA and Europe. Shooting photo and video for Volcom’s advertising campaigns, video productions and for content creation, he worked with top athletes in idealistic and occasionally very remote locations around the world. Some key stops included France, Hawaii, New Zealand, Fiji, India, Indonesia and Africa.
Currently, Andrew is shooting freelance projects based at Shuffle Studio. With a broad skill set in photo and video production, he's working on a variety of projects from content creation to TV series.
